Controller circuit

There is only one PICAXE in the Outdoor Unit. This is the 'controller' PICAXE18X. This interfaces to all sensors, and the transmitter.

Note how Outputs 0 to 2 each have dual functions. It turns out that this can be done without any issues in this particular case. However, in general, you need to be careful when using this method!

In order to reduce power consumption this PICAXE switches power to the sensor and transmitter circuits via a ZVP2106A P-channel MOSFET. The MOSFET is controlled by an output of the PICAXE and is 'on' when the PICAXE output is low.

The download socket is for programming the PICAXE via a serial download cable from the PC.
